The following is taken from the Western District "Our Heritage" published in 1975
Azusa street ignited a flame that soon began to encircle the globe. Dedicated hearts began to cast off material ambitions and walk a new path, that of a missionary. Ships set sail from various western ports carrying more than ordinary cargo, for on board were the bearers of light - the light of the Holy Ghost and baptism in Jesus Name.
Leaving with nothing more than a handshake and a solemn promise of prayer, these pioneers practiced faith in its truest form. For the most part God was their only 'Partner in Missions," but they were persuaded that what He had promised, He was also able to perform!

What Will Matter...
Ready or not, some day it will all come to an end.
There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days.
All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten will pass to someone else.
Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance.
It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.

Apostolic Movement in Mainland China
From Impact Asia -March 2010 by Xenn Seah
This month’s newsletter is written by Brother Samuel Wang. He is a powerful and dynamic student and preacher of the Gospel!
In the Book of Ecclesiastes, the author talks about time. For human beings, the reason that time is so significant is because we are transient.

Special Request for Prayer from Bro. and Sis. Jerry Richardson
A special request from Brother and Sister Jerry Richardson, missionaries who oversee Africa. I will type it verbatim as I received it.
Western District Network of Prayer
Denzil Holman, Prayer Coordinator
NIGERIA Pray for law and order to return in the Moslem north where two recent attacks by Moslems against Christians left over 800 Christians dead and many homes and churches destroyed.
Pray for a newly evangelized area where many wanted to be baptized, but lack of sufficient water prevented us from holding a baptismal service. (It is near the end of the dry season and rivers and streams in this area are completely dried up.) Four were transported several miles away to be baptized.
