Latvia Revival Begins!
The month of July was filled with many wonderful experiences! We have begun in earnest our street evangelism efforts to connect with people, each of the teams were able to experience hosting a service in their home, and it culminated with an incredible Sunday!

Sunday, July 31 marked the launching of our first "public" services. On Sunday morning we were in the suburb of Pinki where we held service in a Lutheran church. There was such an awesome presence of God in that place. In the evening we met in our first city center "Hall Church" service in the Anglican Church building. Between the two services we had at least 13 first-time guests and two received the Holy Ghost in the PM
service! One of them was an associate minister of the Lutheran church where we held service at that morning. She came to ask us to pray that her church would be able to experience the same spirit that we brought into that place that morning! In addition, there were three Bible Studies scheduled for the week (one of which resulted in two water baptisms, as well as one of them receiving the Holy Ghost)! God is truly doing a miraculous work here in Riga. For the foreseeable future we will be doing two services every Sunday in both of these places.

We are gearing up for special Holy Ghost Rallies the second weekend of August. In addition to the two established churches, we are also planning a special service in Balozi (another suburb). We anticipate that these services will result in many new converts that the team will begin to disciple as we open up our weekly house churches.

We have been thrilled to begin making connections with some wonderful people that God has allowed to cross our paths. Nelli is truly just a warm and wonderful lady who brightens our home every time she is here. Olga has also become a dear friend and has helped us to become more familiar with our surroundings. We also have  several young people that generally are in attendance at the "English Club" that we host in our home each week.
In this setting we just talk (in English only), play games, and of course enjoy some food! We are working hard to gain the trust and build a relationship with these people in order to help them to find a relationship with Christ!

~Suriname News Flash - July 2011

July 2011

July was a blessed month for the United Pentecostal Church of Suriname. Here are a few highlights.

Baptisms
Christien, Poonia, Meena, Silvy, Quincy and Bernet were baptized during July. In this group were:
  • A thirteen-year-old girl and her seventy-two-year-old great-grandmother.
  • A cancer patient who was taken from the hospital, baptized, then returned to the hospital.
  • A seventy-one-year-old lady.
  • A young man who was brought to an Open Door Group by a friend, who was also recently baptized.
  • A young husband and father.
Special Guest in Suriname

The UPC of Suriname enjoyed a visit from Brother George Craft, regional training and evangelism missionary to Europe/Middle East. Brother Craft was a great blessing as he ministered in:

  • The congregation at Nieuw Nickerie.
  • The congregation at Paramaribo.
  • A leadership seminar for ministers and their wives. (See pictures here: http://bit.ly/n4kbw6.)
  • A joint service for the Paramaribo and Tiger Creek congregations.
  • A meeting for leaders in the Paramaribo congregation.
Thanks, Brother Craft, for coming to Suriname!
Prison Ministry
Each month we have the opportunity to minister in the prisons of Suriname. In July a total of eighteen students attended Bible studies in two different locations.

Thank you for praying for our family and for the church in Suriname.

Dear Prayer Partners,

We thank you from the depths of our hearts for the prayers that have been sent up for us and for the great country of Latvia!

We are requesting special prayer for this weekend as we move into the next phase  of ministry. This Sunday we will be launching
Hall Churches in the city of Pinki and in
Riga City Centre.

Pray that God's Spirit will draw people to us as we evangelize these cities on Saturday!

Pray that God's anointing will fall upon us during these services and that the power of God will fall upon the people with demonstrations of miracles, signs and wonders!

Yours for the Kingdom!

~Update from Lesotho, SA - Missionaries David and Alice Kline

*************************************************************

Greetings from the snowy Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho!

For the months of May & June the Pentecostals of Maseru Church had 19 people filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost and 5 baptized in Jesus name! Thank You Jesus!

The GATS-L (Global Association of Theological Studies –Lesotho) has enrolled 14 new students for this term. We’re excited and the young people are enjoying the classes! Thank You Ladies Ministries for the generous giving to the training and development of future leaders & Pastors!

Throughout our churches in Lesotho, we are promoting personal Soul Winning & Home Bible studies. The Pentecostals of Maseru Church is having an attendance drive and our goal is have 250 people in church for October. Please help us to pray for the harvest of Souls!

A testimony: Little Justina, (14) has taught over 500 bible studies to her class assembly at her school. She has also won her Mom, aunt, 2 brothers (both feel a call to the ministry) and grandmother to the Lord. Praise the Lord for young people that are answering the call to reach lost souls!

In May, we were privileged to attend the South / Central Africa Sub regional meeting near Johannesburg, South Africa. Rev. David Wright from Maryland, USA, was the special guest speaker. He did a tremendous job and the Lord richly blessed us with his ministry.

Upon returning to our home after the Sub regional meeting, we found that our water pipes had busted due to the freezing cold weather. For the first time we saw the toilet water freeze!

Thank you for all the prayers and support!

Yours for Souls,

David A. Kline,
Lesotho, Africa
