~Impact ASIA!

Impact ASIA

Mark Morgan

Greetings in Jesus name and I pray the grace of God be upon you!

First of all, I want to express my gratitude for all the prayer support and concern from everyone. As many of you were aware I was very apprehensive as to whether or not I should go on this trip to China and Singapore. However, after praying, and many of you praying, I felt it was right and God's strength and grace were upon us!

Our team consisted of Bro. Xenn Seah - Impact Asia Director, Bro. Billy Hale - Denver, CO., Bro. James Carney - Columbia, MS., Bro. Alonzo Dummitt - Ottawa, ON. Canada, and Bro. Tony Wyatt - Mt. Vernon, MO. and myself (Mark Morgan). Our team landed in the fabulous city of Beijing, China on Friday, April 9, 2010. We were weary and tired, but full of anticipation and excitement. The next day, Saturday, was set aside for some sightseeing and time to allow our body clocks to try to reset themselves.

The real excitement, and the purpose of our trip,

~TEAM Finland Newsletter

Please NOTE!  The following is a newsletter sent out by the Alphins, missionaries to Finland, to all of their supporters.  They did not request that I post it on our Blog.  The emphasis in Bold or Italics are mine.  If you do not support them at this time and would like to become partners in TEAM Finland there are instructions at the conclusion of this newsletter.  Thank you for supporting the missionaries that are taking the gospel to the far reaches of our world.

God bless you,
Jerry E. Powell

~Is There Not A Cause

A Greater Cause!

There are many causes which people believe in and work toward. All of these causes are considered legitimate and worthy by those involved. Many do deserve our consideration and support.

We are grateful to those who have committed their lives to the pursuit of worthy causes that benefit mankind such as curing disease, eradicating hunger, and providing for the poor.

Following are some causes and rights, as well as organizations which support their pursuit.

~Haiti Report from Missionary Ron Brian

On January 12, 2010 at approximately 4:53 P.M., the earth shook for 35 seconds in Haiti. Every since that day “life as normalhas been anything but normal. Hundreds of thousands of lives were lost, multitudes more were displaced and left homeless, and businesses, churches and homes became piles of rubble. Suddenly, daily survival and picking up the pieces of a normal life became the new norm.

Within 60 hours of the earthquake, staple food items for distribution were being loaded on a bus in the Dominican Republic. Within 72 hours—a team arrived in Haiti to begin assessment and distribution of Earthquake Relief.

Since that time—

~My Vision for Finland...And the World

My Vision for Finland... And the World

Three things that are lacking our present world: hope, peace, and love. You hear talk of our world’s current state and someone says, “There’s no hope for it.” People talk about their personal lives and you can tell that there is no peace. Many people have not yet experienced the true love which is given freely by Jesus Christ.

~Happy Mother's Day

The WD Foreign Missions Department takes this opportunity to wish all the mothers of tthis great district a Happpy Mother's Day. I trust you will be afforded the honor you deserve by your children and spouses.

Proverbs 31:10-29

10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
14 She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all

Ladies, we appreciate all you do for the kingdom of God.  Your pastor appreciates you more than you know, the missionaries are grateful for all the things you provide to make their life easier.  And, most of all God never overlooks your labor, sacrifice, hard work, willingness to serve and your committment to "...a greater CAUSE worthy of greater SACRIFICE," reaching every nation with Bible salvation!

Tuesday May 11th, 2010 - Foreign Missions Service

Don't miss the Foreign Missions service.  It is going to be exciting, moving, anointed and powerful

Exciting things will begin to happen immediately as the service gets under way; a professional video presentation highlighting the nations of our world, and a flag procession. Missionary James Corbin from Bangaldesh and Missionary Ron Brian from Haiti will be joining us live from their field of labor by the way of Skype. You don't want to miss these powerful presentations.

Also, there are two missionaries traveling in our district who will be in our conference and they will be speaking to us about their burden for missions.

The choir from Bro. Shiver's church will be providing annointed music and singing during the service.

Because we are a part of God's economy we are expecting to receive one of the best offerings ever as we give to "...a greater CAUSE worthy of greater SACRIFICE!"

Bro. Shutes will be our speaker for the evening...we are anticipating great things from God!

~Turmoil and Terror in Thailand - Pray for our missionaries

They've invaded a hospital, messed with TV signals, blocked highways, stopped public transit, frightened sick women and children, threatened arson, committed terrorism, kidnapped people, taunted police, closed shopping malls, ruined the tourism industry, poured blood on the streets,  stolen bodies, barricaded public roads, cost thousands of people their jobs, intimidated politicians, harassed citizens, fought the army. This has gone on for 2 months. The governments latest strategy? They're going to send SMS messages to all the protestors asking them to stop.

Bro. Ed Simmons, missionary to Thailand

Please keep our missionaries in your prayer!
