Stewardship versus Ownership

Stewardship is all of our responsibility with emphasis placed on our stewardship versus ownership.
Everything we have belongs to God but He has made us stewards of it all. “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” I Corinthians 4:2

Go ye – they went! Answering God’s call, not knowing where it would lead, and leaving family, friends, churches, and comfort to fulfill God’s will and accomplish the Great Commission “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel…;” And, having considered the sacrifice, these precious soldiers of the cross – the missionary - marched onward to their field of labor to preach the gospel to every man, woman and child. Their motto forever is ‘The Whole Gospel to the Whole World.’

They went – we remain! At home we must supply the needs of our frontline soldiers. We pledge to faithfully support these great men and women of God with our prayer, finance, and fellowship, even as we continue to evangelize our cities and nation. This support is vital to their mission’s success.

We remain – All of us are laborers together with God! Those who have gone gladly leaving everything behind and not looking back deserve our very best. “One plants, another waters, but God gives the increase.” As they preach the Gospel to the nations of the world we must be diligent in supporting them with our prayer and finance. They must never lack for anything! And we must never fail to meet their needs.

Give, and it shall be given you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into you bosom.”

“The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much...”

  1. Bro Powell you are doing a great job with this blog. It gives us the opportunity to stay current with our missionaries status on the field and who is here and where for deputation.

    Keep up the good work.
