Chile Update #2

3/2/2010

Per conversation with Bro. Barkley last night. By the time he was able to get gas and supplies it was too late to begin his trip south because of the imposed curfew. Entrance into Concepcion is closed between 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

He was leaving early this morning after getting supplies and gas for his van. It normally takes 4 tanks to get to Concepcion and we are not sure what is available along the highway. He did say the highway had reopened and heard rumors that a few gas stations were open. He will be out of communication for most of the day today as he makes his way down to the Hayes.

The Hayes are very low on food supplies because they had just moved into their house the previous week and were just getting settled in. Please pray that Bro. Barkley makes it in today. The food situation is a bit more complicated in that area as there is only one grocery store on that side of the river and it has been totally emptied by looters.

Thank you for your contiued prayers,

Kathy Crossley
