~Tolstad/Uganda update - June/July Newsletter 2011

*************************************************************
Dear Partners and Friends,
I want to thank all the Churches and Pastors that we have been in during our deputational time. Starting in Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama going to the east coast going up from South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia to Pennsylvania. We so enjoyed being with you and sharing the great things God is doing in Uganda.
On May 31 I returned to visit Uganda and had three conferences and a General Board meeting. We planned out the rest of the year and encouraged them to continue to evangelize and reach into new areas. The month of June was reported with over 359 people receiving the Holy Ghost, 219 baptized in Jesus Name and 17 new churches started in Uganda.
In Ogollo, West Nile Region, at a revival crusade a husband asked the church to come and pray for his wife. She had become possessed by demons, had run away and was living in a cave. The Pastor, Presbyter and some Elders went to the cave and prayed for this woman, that she would be delivered and have her mind returned to her. After a few moments of prayer, the demons were cast out, she received the Holy Ghost and was baptized with her whole family later that day!

In a prayer meeting in the Northern part of Uganda, the prayer meeting lasted for three days, 52 people received the Holy Ghost, a deaf mute man was instantly healed and returned home and brought his whole family to the church and they were all baptized.

In a Prayer Meeting in the Rwenzori Region, a 17 year old girl died in the Church. The Pastor tried to call the police several times, but they would not answer their phone. He felt that God wanted the Church to pray for her to be completely healed and brought back to life since God stopped the police from coming. The Church prayed and the girl was restored completely and is part of the Praise singers in the Church Today. She comes from a strong Muslim and Witchcraft family in the village but has committed her life completely to the Lord!
Sunday June 12 was a special day! As the Assistant Superintendent Christia Mwenymewnyi was married in Kampala. It has been a long time in coming! We congratulate Bro and Sis Christia!
Following the wedding I was able to attend the East Africa Sub Regional Conference in Nairobi. It was a great time of fellowship, planning and teaching. It was so good to hear the great reports of Revival in East Africa.
We returned to continue deputation! We are scheduled to be on the road into early 2012. Trusting we will be able to be with many of you as we travel. Sis Tolstad will be able to travel with me on deputation after her surgery she had in March. (She had fallen in Uganda and had damaged her hip and it had to be replaced as it had deteriorated).
We are praying we will be able to finish raising our budget as quickly as we can, to return to Uganda. If you are able to increase your PIM commitment, it would help us finish much faster. At this time we are needing 76 more $50 PIMs to finish our budget. (**Note - I believe there are 76 pastors or individuals who could easily take on a $50.00 a month commitment for the next four years and get these wonderful folks back to the field - the editor).
Thank you for your faithful support in Prayer and finances, we could not do the work in Uganda without you. Please continue to pray for Uganda and our time on deputation here in the US.
